🌿 Starseed Yoga & Soundbath in the Park: The Beginning of a Community Journey

When I moved to South Norwood just over a year ago, I knew I wanted to root myself here, not just to live, but to build something meaningful. This neighbourhood quickly became home, and I felt a deep pull to create a space for wellness, connection, and community right where I lived.

That’s how Starseed Yoga & Soundbath in the Park was born.

🌞 Planting Seeds in Nature

These summer sessions, held in the beautiful South Norwood Country Park, were the very first step in building what I hope will become a lasting community hub for heart-led wellness.

They were council-approved and community-focused, open to all levels and ages. Each week, whether in blazing sun or light drizzle, we came together for:

  • Yoga to awaken & restore: Kundalini-inspired movement, breathwork, and grounding postures.

  • Sound healing under the sky: crystal bowls, gongs, and chimes inviting deep rest and release.

  • Connection & community: little picnics after class, neighbours meeting for the first time, friendships beginning to form.

One week, we warmed ourselves with Kapalbhati breathwork and Kundalini kriyas as light rain fell around us, turning what could have been a challenge into something playful and energising. Another time, the sun broke through just as we lay down for the Soundbath, as if nature herself was blessing our practice.

💫 The Power of Community

Community is at the heart of wellness. These sessions showed me the importance of creating a space where people of all ages, backgrounds, and stories could gather, breathe, and move together.

It meant so much to witness this: regulars returning each week, new faces joining, neighbours supporting neighbours, people showing up for themselves and for each other.

I loved seeing people linger afterwards with snacks to share, chatting on picnic blankets, or heading home with a smile and a new connection. That’s the magic of community — it holds us, inspires us, and reminds us we’re not alone.

✨ Healing Through Yoga, Sound & Reiki

For me, wellness isn’t just about fitness or flexibility. It’s about creating balance and space for the soul.

Through yoga, we ground and energise.

Through sound healing, we soften into deep rest and recalibration.

Through Reiki and energy work, we align, release, and reconnect with our deeper selves.

These park sessions allowed me to weave these practices together, in nature, with people who might never have experienced them before. That felt truly special.

🌱 Lessons Learned & What’s Next

I’ve learned to flow with the changing weather, the importance of balancing community offerings with committed bookings and the magic that happens simply by showing up together.

And now, as this first chapter closes, we step into the next stage of the journey:

🌟 From September — Weekly Classes at Stanley Arts, South Norwood:

  • Tuesdays 10–11am: Baby & Bump Soundbath

  • Wednesdays 7–8pm: Movement Meditation

  • Thursdays 7–8pm: Restorative Yoga & Soundbath

🌟 Monthly Clinic Launching 26th September: 1-1 Reiki & 1-1 Sound Healing sessions at Laura Ryan Therapies (discounted for the opening).

🌟 And yes, I hope to return to the park next summer, because practising in nature is something truly unique and magical.

🌸 Gratitude

To those who came, rain or shine, thank you. You’ve been part of the very beginning of Starseed Offerings in South Norwood, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

This is just the start of a journey that feels deeply aligned, one that I know will continue to grow beautifully.

Let’s keep building this together 🌟

With love (and lots of magic!),
